How to Reserve and Pickup Your Hedgehog from Prickle Farms

Welcome to Prickle Farms! We are a small, home-based breeder, and we strive to make the process of reserving and picking up your new hedgehog as simple and clear as possible. Please read through the following information to ensure a smooth experience:

1. Reserving Hedgehogs

  • Baby Hedgehogs for Sale: When baby hedgehogs are listed on the website, they are available for reservation with a deposit. Deposits are required to hold a baby. This means that we cannot hold a hedgehog for you without a deposit.

  • No Babies Listed?: If there are no babies currently listed, feel free to reach out via text to see if we have any unlisted babies or if we expect any to be listed soon.

2. Deposits and Reservations

  • Placing a Deposit: To reserve a hedgehog, you must place a deposit. Once the deposit is received, your hedgehog will be held for you.

  • Non-Refundable Deposit: Please note that deposits are non-refundable. This ensures that the hedgehog will be specifically held for you, and we can continue our breeding program without uncertainty.

3. Pickup and Appointment Scheduling

  • Coordinating Pickup: Once your deposit is placed, we will work with you to schedule a pickup time. The date the hedgehog is ready for pickup will be listed on the description of the hedgehog.

  • Pickup Timeline: You will have 3 days from the "ready" date to pick up your hedgehog. If you need to reschedule, please notify us as soon as possible.

  • Be On Time: It is very important to be on time for your appointment. If you are more than 15 minutes late, we will need to reschedule your appointment, as we may coordinate multiple pickups each day.

4. Final Payment

  • The remaining balance for your hedgehog is due at the time of pickup. We accept cash, Venmo, and cards (fees apply for card payments) for the remaining balance.

5. Please Note

  • Not a Storefront: Prickle Farms is not a storefront. We breed our hedgehogs out of our home, and appointments are required for all pickups and visits. We do not accept walk-ins.
